How with the messenger?
Reading (Hadist authenticated by Al-Bukhari and Muslim:57) - Usamah bin Zaid, may Allah be pleased with them, narrated: Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) sent us in military detachment. We raided Al-Huraqat of the Juhainah in the morning. I caught hold of a man and he said: La Ilaha Illal Allah (There is no god but Allah), I attacked him with a spear. It once occurred to me and I talked about it to the Messenger (may peace be upon him).
The Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) asked: Did he profess "There is no god but Allah," and even then you killed him? I said: Messenger of Allah, he made a profession of it out of fear of the weapon. He (the Holy Prophet) observed: Did you check inside his heart to find out whether he said it (out of fear) or not? And he went on repeating it to me till I wished I had embraced Islam only that day.
Sa'd said: By Allah, I would never kill any Muslim so long as the person with a heavy belly, i.e. Usamah, would not kill. Upon this a person remarked: Did Allah not say this: And fight them until there is no more Fitnah (disbelief and worshipping of others along with Allâh) and (all and every kind of) worship is for Allâh (Alone)
Sa'd said: We fought so that there should be no mischief, but you and your companions wish to fight so that there should be mischief.

57 - 'Usâma ibn Zayd (qu'Allah soit satisfait des deux) a dit: L'Envoyé d'Allah (pbAsl) nous envoya à la tête d'un escadron contre les Al-Huraqât de la tribu de Juhayna. Nous les surprîmes au matin et les mîmes en déroute. J'attrapai un des ennemis qui s'écria aussitôt: "Il n'y a d'autre divinité qu'Allah!". Quand même, je le tuai; mais je ne puis pour autant rester la conscience en paix. A notre retour (à Médine), je racontai cet événement au Prophète (pbAsl) qui me dit: "A-t-il dit qu'il n'y avait d'autre divinité qu'Allah et tu l'as tué quand même?!". - "Il ne l'a dit que pour éviter la mort!", me justifiai-je. - "As-tu sondé son cœur pour vérifier s'il est sincère ou non dans cette attestation?". Le Prophète ne cessa de répéter cette réprimande au point que je souhaitai que je n'aurais embrassé l'Islam que ce jour-ci (pour qu'une telle faute sévère ne lui soit pas inscrite dans son passif de musulman). Sa`d commenta (voyant 'Usâma rangé de regrets amers): "Moi, par Dieu! Je ne jugerai qu'un homme doit être tué sans que Dhû Al-Bûtayn (il voulait dire 'Usâma qui était un gros ventru) ne le trouve tel". Or, un homme s'exclama: Allah n'a-t-il pas dit: "Et combattez-les jusqu'à ce qu'il ne subsiste plus d'association, et que la religion soit entièrement à Allah...!" Et Sa`d d'ajouter: "Nous avons évidemment combattu pour qu'il ne subsiste pas d'association; cherchez-vous, toi et tes compagnons à combattre pour qu'il y ait association?"

57 - Usama Ibn Zaid, Allahs Wohlgefallen auf ihm, berichtete: Der Gesandte Allahs, Allahs Segen und Heil auf ihm, entsandte uns zu einem Feldzug. Am Ort Al-Huraqat in der Gegend von Dschuhaina überfielen wir die Leute gegen Morgen. Als Ich einen (fliehenden) Mann stellte, sagte er (la ilaha illa-llah) (=Kein Gott ist da außer Allah). Trotzdem erstach ich ihn (mit meinem Schwert). Da fühlte ich mich dadurch aber innerlich berührt und ich erzählte dem Propheten, Allahs Segen und Heil auf ihm, die ganze Sache. Da sagte der Gesandte Allahs, Allahs Segen und Heil auf ihm: Hat er (Es gibt keinen Gott außer Allah) gesagt, und du hast ihn trotzdem umgebracht? Ich sagte: O Gesandter Allah, er hat das nur aus Angst vor dem Tode mit meiner Waffe gesagt. Er (der Prophet) sagte aber: Hast du denn sein Herz zerlegt und gewußt, ob er das wirklich gemeint hat oder nicht? Er wiederholte diesen Satz mehrmals, bis ich mir wünschte, ich wäre vor jenem Tag noch nicht zum Islam gekommen. Sa`d sagte: Und ich, bei Allah, werde keinen Muslim töten, solange Zul-Butain d.h. Usama ihn nicht tötet. Da sagte ein Mann: Hat Allah nicht gesagt: Und kämpft gegen sie, damit keine Verführung stattfinden kann und (kämpft), bis die sämtliche Verehrung auf Allah allein gerichtet ist. Sa`d erwiderte: Wir haben schon gekämpft, damit keine Verführung stattfinden kann. Aber du und deine Gefährten wollt kämpfen, damit eine Verführung stattfindet.

Abu Musa, may Allah be pleased with him, reported: Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) said: The similitude of mine and of that with which Allah sent me is that of a man who came to his people and said: O people, I have seen an army with my own eyes and I am a plain warner (and issue you warning) that you should immediately manage to find an escape. A group of people from among them paid heed (to his warning) fled to a place of protection and a group among them belied him and the morning overtook them in their houses and the army attacked them, killed them and they were uprooted. And that is the similitude of the one who obeyed me, followed what I have been sent with and the similitude of the other who disobeyed and belied me and the Truth with which I have been sent. (Hadist authenticated by Al-Bukhari and Muslim: 1313)

1313 - D'après 'Abû Mûsa (qu'Allah soit satisfait de lui), l'Envoyé d'Allah (pbAsl) a dit: Il en est de moi et de ce pour quoi Allah m'a envoyé comme d'un homme qui se rend auprès d'un groupe de gens et leur dit: "J'ai vu l'armée de mes yeux et je vous en avertisse, sauvez-vous". Quelques-uns l'ont écouté; ils ont profité de la nuit pour se sauver sans se presser et se sont sauvés. Les autres ont refusé de le croire et restés en leur place. Le lendemain matin, l'armée survint et les anéantit. Ainsi seront respectivement les cas de ceux qui m'ont obéi et ont suivi ce que j'ai apporté (les préceptes de l'islam) et de ceux qui m'ont désobéi et considéré comme mensonge la Vérité que je leur ai apportée.

1313 - Abu Musa, Allahs Wohlgefallen auf ihm, berichtete: Der Prophet, Allahs Segen und Heil auf ihm, sagte: Das Gleichnis von mir und von dem, was Allah mit mir gesandt hat, ist wie ein Mann, der zu seinen Leuten kam und ihnen sagte: ''O meine Leute, ich habe das Heer (der Feinde) mit eigenen Augen gesehen. Ich bin ihnen aber der bloße Warner (ein arabisches Sprichwort, das die absolute Wahrhaftigkeit des Warners bezeichnet), nach dessen Warnung ihr euch die Fliehmöglichkeiten anschaffen sollt. Eine Gruppe von seinen Leuten glaubten ihm und reisten gleich am Beginn der Nacht ab. Eine andere Gruppe glaubten ihm aber nicht und blieben aber in ihren Häusern. Beim Taganbruch griff sie aber das Heer an und zerstörte sie. Das Gleichnis dieser Leute ist wie das Gleichnis derjenigen, die mir gehorchten und dem folgten, mit dem ich gesandt wurde, und wie das Gleichnis derjenigen, die mir nicht gehorchen und die Wahrheit verweigern, mit der ich gesandt wurde.
